Organization Management Technology Paper Development and Reviewing Workshop will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in Vancouver, Canada.
* Overview *
This developmental workshop offers the opportunity for Ph.D. students, postdocs and faculty members at an early stage of their career in management to develop papers for publication in quality outlets, and to develop their reviewing skills. Emphasis will be placed on developing and writing strong theory. Authors will receive feedback from mentors and peers with similar research interests. Participants will also learn more about the review process, and how to be more developmental in their own reviews.

The workshop will be led by nine current and past members of the Academy of Management OMT Division Executive board, including current and past editors of Academy of Management Learning & Education, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Research in the Sociology of Organizations, Research in the Sociology of Work, and Strategic Management Journal; as well as past and current editorial board members of Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Administrative Science Quarterly, Innovation: Organization and Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, and Strategic Organization.

The workshop is open to all scholars working on both micro and macro topics within organizations broadly defined. To attend the workshop, please email Nancy Tang (nancy.tang) along with your CV as well as a title and abstract of a working paper that you would like to discuss by November 22, 2017.
Full working papers are due before January 7, 2018. Those who wish to attend without submitting a working paper may also attend by submitting their CV by November 22, 2017 and will be accommodated if there is space on a first come first served basis. * Fees and Funding *
There is no fee for attending the workshop, although participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. A limited number of stipends are available for application to partially offset travel expenses for out of town Ph.D. students with working papers. Please indicate your interest in applying for this stipend when you contact Nancy Tang. Discounted accommodations are available for out of town guests.
